Coach Clare Crowley comes to the Buffalo Defenders with plenty of coaching experience. Crowley previously coached the Defenders from 2000-2006. After her 2006 summer, Coach Crowley became a full-time assistant basketball coach at Buffalo State College under head coach Sue Roarke. Her duties there including recruiting, scouting and coaching at daily practices. In the fall of 2008 Crowley became the Head Coach at Williamsville North High School. She led her team to an 18-4 season and her team was ranked 5th in the WNY polls throughout the season, the Spartans were also ECIC division champions. Coach Crowley spent her high school career as a four year starter at Mount Mercy High School. She was a 3 time All – Catholic Selection and an honorable mention to the All-WNY team in 2000. She went on to play four years at Fredonia State and was a three time All- SUNYAC selection. She scored over 1, 000 points and ranks on the schools list for career points, rebounds, and assists. Coach Crowley has a Masters Degree in Special Education from Canisius College and is currently a teacher in the Williamsville School District, she is First Aid and CPR certified. Crowley will now enter her 7th year as a coach for the Buffalo Defenders. |
